A GALLERY BORN OF DUAL CULTURES
Trained in management and finance, Sarah spent a long time in environments where everything had to be rational, measurable, and justified.
But at the same time, another passion was growing, fueled by childhood films that are rediscovered differently when one becomes a parent.
This shift marked the birth of Crayons & Cellulos in 2020. The gallery is built on a simple requirement: to offer only authentic works, actually used in the production of American animated films or series.
ANIMATION HAS ITS PLACE IN A CONTEMPORARY INTERIOR
In Europe, original animation drawings and cels remain largely unknown, often mistaken for decorative reproductions.
Crayons & Cellulos champions another vision: that of a popular art form that has become graphic heritage.
Each piece is selected for its actual role in the making of an animated film or series and presented with the care it deserves.
A production drawing is not a finished image. It is a working tool. It bears traces, corrections, sometimes hesitations. This is what makes it unique and alive.
Our commitments:
-
Verified provenance
Each artwork is authenticated and documented before being offered for sale. A certificate of authenticity accompanies each piece, complemented by contextual information: original studio, film or series, production era, and technique used.
-
Museum conservation
Frames are made with conservation materials: acid-free cardboard, UV-protective glass, and rag board matting. Each artwork is protected to last and seamlessly integrate into your interior without compromise.
-
Personalized support
Whether you're an experienced collector or discovering this world for the first time, we'll guide you in your choice. From selection to hanging, every acquisition is a conversation.
